Hello, I'm on my brother's computer and his graphics are really laggy. I just installed Windows 7 for him. He previously had Windows Vista (what the computer came with) and in Vista his graphics were really laggy as well and aero didn't work at all. Now I install Windows 7 and aero didn't work until I downloaded the drivers for the graphics card. However, with aero the computer lags pretty bad and I believe its specs are beyond the requirements of Windows 7. I thought something was wrong with his Vista because he said the computer wasn't always this way, so I figured why not just install Windows 7 for him. Turns out the problem still exists.
He has a HP Pavilion p6115y
Its specs are -
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 7550 Dual-Core Processor 2.50 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (7.75 GB usable)
GPU: NVidia GeForce 9100
It lags when you drag things around (it doesn't freeze or anythng, but it's really laggy) or when you watch videos and put them fullscreen. Opening programs doesn't lag at all, nothing really lags just the animation. Any ideas?

I got the video drivers from Nvidia.

Really? Oh just checked index score thing and it says performance for aero is at 2.0. Well, shit. What graphics card can I upgrade to for cheap? We don't do much on this computer at all. I'll probably play CS:S or TF2 on this from time to time, but that's it.

Onboard 7100 crapped out on me for Aero, so yeah 9100 ain't going to make jack shit in terms of difference

So they have no graphics card at all? Its just onboard? I haven't checked, but I don't want to bother right now.

| Turn off aero. 2.0 is a shit score. My aero score is 7.4 :s. It will make windows 7 look classic though. |
