Also, why would they release a "slim" version when this console generation is probably going to last 1-2 more years?

No they shouldn't have Tyler, or they wouldn't have found the flaws they did now to try and improve there console.

They aren't just going to replace every console though, this way it makes sense and will probably give you a deal on it if you have troubles with your GEN1/2 consoles as of now.

Microsoft and the Xbox division did a good job on re-vamping the console, making the slim and such and are probably going to make a fourth generation console before the the new console comes out. (Xbox 3 Delta or something stupid)

Who knows, but all in all, good job.

I own a first Gen 360. Is that modding thing you've been telling me to wait for out yet? I've been wanted to mod this thing for 2 months now.

I own a first gen, and a second gen
(If people were confused the second generation console came with HDMI hookups)

I don't think we will be seeing an new console announced for at least a 2 or more years. Why would they make a new console anyway? Xbox has a huge install-base game developers have become familiar with the code, making a new console wold just make new games shitty
