I have a real action replay for GBA, and it always worked fine.

AR is just too powerful for some I suppose. I remember using it to backup ACWW and extracting the save to pc and editing it. Was epic. ARDS/GBA max duo ofcourse. It didnt do cheats for ds, just game saves.
