You do realize that is a rather horrible strategy right? Instead of a strong pokemon, you get 6 shit pokemon.
My typhlosion is level 72, i've steamrolled EVERYTHING in 2-3 hits, rest of team is lugia(fly), togetic(flash), krabby(cut), gyarados(surf, whirlpool, waterfall), and the onix you get from trading at the beginning(rock smash, headbutt(never use this though)

| Trainers. wild pokes dont do jack shit for you untill MT silver. You should have a vs seeker. Use it the day after you fight a trainer and it should let you refight some.
