Found out my check is gonna be $350 (only half a paycheck because i just started... should normally be $500+).

I'm thinking about a PS3 because I want ratchet and clank, FF13, maybe fallout 3, and I heard that you can play bootleg games with just custom software and no mod chip.

But the things is, I wouldn't be very excited for a PS3. Ratchet and clank is mainly the only game I'd wanna play... I mostly just play PC games and PS2 games emulated on PC. I download blu-ray movies because I have a 24" monitor.

I really want a laptop because I've never had one before, and I view them as such a luxury. I begged my parents to get me a $700 pentium 3 laptop back in 2001. Netbooks are criticized for their lack of gaming power, but I'm sure that even a $200 netbook in 2010 is quite faster than a pentium 3 with no graphics card.

The thing is, I don't really have a use for a laptop... I don't really go anywhere I could use one. I very rarely take long trips in a car, and I could take it to work but I would only be able to use it on my breaks/lunches. I also never really visit friend's houses... they always come to mine.

But just the fact that I've never had a laptop, and they're so appealing because I can take my whole computer where ever I go. The cheapest netbook can at least emulate PSX/N64. Also it would be nice to watch youtube videos on the go, and chat on msn. But other than those 3 things I can't find think of any use, and like I said, I'm rarely on the go anyway.

Alternatively I could buy 5-10 grams of jwh-018, enough to make 5-15 ounces of *extremely* potent spice (which sells in smokeshops for $300-$500 an ounce). Selling spice has become so profitable recently that smokeshops are actually making more money off spice alone, than everything else they sell in their shop combined.

I could most likely push it fast through ebay, but it might be better to simply pitch my stuff to local smokeshops because ordering the main ingredient in bulk allows me to offer extremely competitive pricing.

I could make strong spice for $1.30 a gram. It currently sells in a smokeshop for a minimum of $10 a gram, usually $15-$20... so I could easily sell to them for $5 a gram.

That would mean if I made 10 ounces of spice for $350... I could sell it back for $1,400. It's looking extremely profitable... the only problem is selling it fast enough, which should theoretically be no problem if I can simply get 2-3 small smokeshops to realize how good my product is.

More justice than a $700 pentium 3 would have, and I was begging for it 9 years ago.

They're now half the price and 5 times the power... I fail to see where justice is not done.

The answer is... I was expecting word processing, chatting through messenger, browsing the web, viewing pictures, and playing command and conquer tiberian sun.

That would have been infinitely nice... I would have probably been in heaven. For only $21 a month for 3 years, I could be just like coco at the beginning of crash bandicoot 2, sitting with her pink laptop when the battery dies and she wakes up her brother to get her an extra battery.

Just look at her reaction time from when her laptop shuts off and she says "crash". Fucking instant... this bitch is fucking pro! Coco Bandicoot is my idol

Anyway, a $200 laptop could do all the things I mentioned above, but at least a few times faster.

You cannot buy a half decent laptop for less than 700 USD today. You want something with at least a 2.0ghz core, and an ATI mobile because its usually that or intel shitsets. You also probably want a 6 cell battery so it lasts a good 6 - 8 hours for casual usage. Thats not also to say you want a decent amount of ram.
