Compared to modern operating systems, yes it is a piece of shit. Don't see why you wouldn't just spend 100-200 USD and get W7, or at least download a working copy. Seriously, XP is terrible.

I've used 7, i see absolutely NO difference except that it has a built in widget bar, and the new microsoft shit(word, paint, notepad, etc.)

New paint is much better. Notepad, I see no difference, word doesn't come installed on Windows

From personal experience XP is very glitchy. Vista is remotely stable. Windows 7 i haven't tried that much but seems stable. They all pretty much have the same features.

Use a mac. Also, just uninstall current Opera and download a previous version.
