apparently the first pokemon in your party follows you around (like pikachu in yellow version) I don't know about you. But that's always been something that I've wanted to be in every pokemon game.

FYI: Soulsilver and heartgold - I think that's what they are called.

Since you dont seem to understand why they made it, I will explain. In the beginning they used a different stats system. Used lesser EVs. In today's system 4 EVs = 1 stat, er something like that. By making this remake not only did they update the system, but they made it possibly to get legit legends from the generation that were unable to be brought up into the current generation.
Its not just so they can make money, but to actually update that versions system. They did the same for the original with fire red and leaf green.

Generation V (currently in production) could have been developed instead of this perfumed piece of shit.

No but they have massive replay value because they're still pokemon games.
And what online community would Pokemon versions have? It's not like its an MMO. At most, you can trade and battle others linked to you under certain circumstances. Silver and Gold had this already did they not? or am I missing something important here?

Are you serious? This shit has leagues and clans and all sorts. The online battle world is extremely competitive. People take this shit to an extreme. Not to mention its 100x harder to beat a human over a AI.
