I'd like your help and suggestions and information about antidepressants.
I am considering taking an antidepressant and I would like information about them, negative side-effects, effectiveness, etc. First off, because I've been depressed for some time now. Second, because I have severe anxiety and panicking. Third, because I personally feel that something is wrong with me.
So far I've gathered that they cause inert sexual ability, increase suicidal thoughts/actions, may cause negative personality changes, and can't be taken with many other medications.

They will not make you think positive, but they create a fake feeling of happiness.

It's like, hey, I am happy, but you still think about bad things about life but you will look less negatively on them. It might help you, if you seem more happy to others, they will respond happiness and that might enlighten your vision on the world and you can stop taking them.

Make sure a licensed doctor prescribes them. If you are young(still a teen) then DON'T, again, DO NOT, take anti depressants. They have a type of multiplier effect with your unwanted thoughts when you're young due to chemical processes in the brain. There's a correlation between teens who use A.Ds and an increase in suicidal tendencies. You will feel even worse, and you will snap quite quickly under stress.
Your best remedy is to get a professional sit down with a real psychologist/therapist and see how it goes from there.

I just looked up Effexor, read the page about Social Anxiety Disorder. Seemed relevant to myself. Looked it up. http://www.webmd.com/anxiety-panic/guide/mental-health-social-anxiety-disorder

Being the center of attention.
Interacting with people, including dating or going to parties.
Asking questions or giving reports in groups.
Using public toilets.
