hao2MW2 without steam?

I installed it and was given an unused key from a buddy. It says steam needs to be activated for SP and MP wont even launch.

Use a crack.

But you won't be able to play online without Steam, so there was no point in getting the key from your friend.

I have the key, and a pic of it, so I contacted valve. If not ill buy my own fucking copy straight from steam.

if you have a pic of the key you just send it to them i did that with my counter strike

Yea its been done already. I expect them to tell me its invalid or something though. In which case my buddy will complain to the site he bought it off. Damn these cheaper sites. He bought 2 and 1 did work so its not as if they ripped him off.
