if you've never heard of kijiji it's basically like ebay but only locally (like in your city or region). Someone is selling a flip video camera that she said she bought brand new. Original cost is $229 and she's selling it for $165. Is this fishy/suspicious or should I go buy it.
Just so you know you can't buy the stuff online, you have to go to their house or they come to yours and you trade/sell/buy there.

You don't need to go to there house. You most probably going to meet in a mall or somewhere close by. Local.
Check it out and look for unboxing reviews so you know what was there in the first place.
If its not new go and bargain some more :]

It's the same as craigslist.
Anyway, ask her for photos of it and such. Or ask to meet so you can inspect it before buying it.

yea this is kind of what i was thinking of. Maybe she lost the charging cable or something internal is a little messed. Maybe I'm just paranoid. but seriously, who buys something, doesn't use it then sells it online for like $60 less?

What if it was stolen, not bought? Just stole it to sell cause she needed money, but of course selling it for too close to the original price won't yield many buyers as they'd think she's lying and just buy a new one instead.
