I don't have any experience with I-Doser(Might download it later), but the idea should work. My mom is into "alternative" medicine, and one of the things she tried was "visual therapy" where you wear a device over your eyes that displays certain light patterns. It was supposed to help cure something, but after using it, she was all dizzy and kind of acting drunk. She could hardly walk right for about 10 minutes. The natural-doctor-person said that was completely normal. So if that can have such a strong mental effect, sound waves should work, probably even better than that.
