ASUS Rampage Extreme II - Because I have it. Works marvelously. Although I feel like I made a useless purchase, because I'm not over-clocking.

I have neither, but i have had both an asus and gigabyte board. They are both damn good.

unless you get a good liquid cooling system and are planning to overclock a lot you won't need the Gigabyte GA EX58 Extreme

I agree.
Buying an expensive motherboard may seem like a good idea at the time.
But if your not overclocking and doing some extra curricular activities with it, then your better off buying a cheaper board which still has all the features you want.

E.g For my media centre, I bought an Asus motherboard, forgot which.
It was about $80 more expensive then another gigabyte one which does basically the same thing. I bought the Asus and realised I wasted $80.

Yea, you shouldnt have to pay more than 100 bucks for a good mobo if you ask me. What could possibly need triple sli anyway?
