I'll update this thread Every time i draw something new. I still haven't gotten the stump tool for smudging but i will hopefully get it soon. ATM i'm using my fingers soo.....yea.

These are sketches, and most tattoo's are without color, but most are i can't color it like the tattoo artist do, i'm not that good yet. But thank you for giving me you're opinion.

Improper shading, is basically one shade with white spots

Yea i understand, i need to buy a "stump" for shading but atm i'v been really busy so i havn't had much time or thought to go and buy the stump. Thank you for opinion i'm working on it

All you need is a pencil

i do have a pencil many of them, but when i smudge it fucks up the drawing, idk any other way to shade it with out smudging involved. My dad's a tattoo artist yet he hasn't taught me this how sad.

Lawl i completely agree with you both, but i'm not that great at shading atm, if Cris can at least show me something i can learn off i may get better
Up2 Suggested i should get a shading tool called the "stump"

Use your fingers for smudging, if you feel that your fingers are too fat then use a piece of paper in shape of a pencil (Stump is probably the same thing but better).

I tried to make an example but without my tablet and a mouse that works(My left button is broken and works 1/6 times) I failed at showing you what I wanted. So basically the shading in my example is also terrible.




Also the ribbon, try making it straighter. The drawing should be clean since is permanent.

...and last of all keep practising, if you have to trace then do it as long as you get the hang of it. Don't forget to keep continue showing your work, there's always something to improve.

Lol'd but i get what you mean, i usually draw on a angle something that i'm use to, I'v never Traced other than when i was 6years old, cause i find that you don't learn how to draw if you're tracing. I will Update this thread ever time i draw something new, and i hope that you keep helping me Thank you for everything.
