An attempt to add a a background but then I got lazy because I had no idea where to put the details. I blandly guessed the stuff in the background.

However the focus is the girl. I tried hard with the pose. The clothes look dull though.

The lower portion of the picture is the zoomed in details.

You can't really see the tears, the table looks weird, and the wall color is messed up in some places, but other than that its nice.

person looks pretty alright for the most part, but the skirt / legs look a little strange. something weird going on by her left shoulder / collarbone.

the bed has the perspective established (or at least the mattress looks it) but the table is different and looks odd.

and really, the last 2 panels are kind of pointless.

the lighting of the line should be fixed for the hair, no lighting on forehead.

Teh letter on the table doesn't look reall and I think that background is a little bit bad but it's ok.

I think its very well done.
The only problems you already know about. (Lack of depth in background)
But who cares, the character itself is great.

if only you weren't too lazy to make a background I'd love it even more. I think you're really talented so it's just a shame that I can't see what it would have looked like with a background. But only judging the character, 9/10 for me.
