All of my drivers are fully updated. My OS is fully updated. I have no problems with the game itself, just setting settings. This leads me to believe it has something to do with UAC or something. Strange because I am running as an Administrator.
Do you have the Steam version though? That could be the problem. Also, my version still says 1.1.1.6151 or something like that. I cannot patch it myself as Steam auto-updates.

I have retail, my version in the menu is 1.1.1.6156.
I guess you could try right-clicking the game in the Steam games list, and going to properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache; this will redownload any game files that may be corrupt.

| I already tried it. I also re-installed the whole game.

Do not do XP mode in a game, especially not Crysis. Also, I've never heard of this error, nor have had it. Are you sure you aren't just setting the settings too high, and then your computer is just going really slow because of it, and possibly crashing? What are your comp specs?

Ok, time to clear a few things up here:
1) This stinks of a driver issue! Just to note that first..
2) Win7 is out of beta ffs; I've had the RTM installed for months!
3) Crysis will run on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. If you own an x64 OS you can either run the original 32-bit game, or use the 64-bit binaries that it comes with (to get a little performance improvement in theory)
4) NEVER use virtual machines for gaming. Windows XP mode for 7 is just microsoft virtual PC with XP running in it. It has no DirectX9 acceleration and you won't even be able to reach the main menu. There are exceptions the virtual machines and gaming thing, and that is with old games running under the latest VMWare which has DX9.0C acceleration; modern games always a no-no though.
5) UAC sucks. Disable it completely. It shouldn't affect the game, but it is known to mess with the running of trainers and other hacks.
So I would make doubly sure you have the latest drivers and operating system updates, make sure your hardware (graphics) is actually capable of running crysis, and do a full spyware and virus scan. I bet the issue is solved within that lot.

I have Win7 Ultimate x32.
Crysis Warheads works FINE.
I've never had ANY problem with UAC as I have full priveledges.
I would like to note that I can run Crysis on "Super High" or whatever is above High.
I have no problems with viruses or spyware.
I have the latest Nvidia drivers as well as updates from Windows Update.
I don't see what the problem could be.
Don't know what happened, but it works.
Didn't change anything.
