I want the Slim one, but I don't care about the size, I'm not getting a lot of games.

Question 1: Do games take up a lot of space?
Question 2: If so, can I backup save files in a PC?
Question 3: Do PS3's have lots of hardware problems?

and a good place to find one, would be in a small computer shop, not at the big retailers, such as EBgames.

I would recommend Craigslist to buy a PS3.

You can check out the item in person and test it before buying directly and going home.

As for the questions, the answers are already up there.

Thing is when you play online the blue ray may get broken. I do not remember why I just remember a friend telling me that.

All the slims are 120GB. Zyndr0m is right about some games taking up to a couple of GB of space, but only like 10 games in the PS3s entirely library require any hard drive installation at all, so don't need to worry about backing up any of the data.

And is an overheating "issue," I have it in quotes because it is pretty much moot.

The YLoD (yellow light of death) can occur if your PS3 overheats (which has less than a 1% chance of happening), however, it won't mean you have to get a new one. The yellow light shows up if it gets too hot (past some temperature), and then it will instantly turn off, showing a yellow light for a bit and then it will prevent you from turning it on for a while (I"ve heard up to a day) and then you'll be able to play it like normal again. So it doesn't really matter at all.

My friend was so pissed when his PS3 broke down before my Xbox 360 (it still hasn't broken yet, nearly a year).

He was playing on it, there was a flash power failure, fried his PS3. He had to pay like $100 bucks to repair it. I'm still laughing.

oh ok then,

so im guessing the average cost is PS3 Slim 120 GB ($300 new, might go down during christmas), HDMI Cable (???), extra controller ($30 - 40), MW2 or Little Big Planet ($50-60)? im still looking for a cheaper PS3
