Refers to the technology used in the screen. Twisted nematic displays are cheap to produce, provide decent response times and offer decent contrast ratios, however don't have full 8-bit color display (8 bit = 16777216 colors, 6 bit = 1679616 colors) and offer relatively poor viewing angles. Other LCD technologies, such as IPS, MVA, etc, tend to offer better color reproduction and viewing angles, however don't always have as good contrast ratios, response times and aren't nearly as cheap to produce.

I was wondering if TN were the more expensive or the less expensive kind.

In that case, go with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236053

I've had my eye on it for a while, and once I get the money up I'm getting that.

If you want a bigger one though, go with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052

So i'm saving 20$ but have long responce time and lowered ratio along with no HDMI and a worse viewing angel.
worth it?

You're saving $60, there is HDMI, and yes there is a longer response time and less of a contrast ratio. Viewing angle...I'm not even sure what you mean by that.

Well in that case, it also has HDMI. And I still don't understand what you mean by viewing angle.

Viewing angle generally isn't a big deal, depending on how you use your monitor. Also, 5ms BTB is as fast as, if not faster than the gimmicky 2ms GTG rating. If you're buying it for the DCR (dynamic contrast ratio), the static contrast ratio is usually 1000:1 with TN panels (even that rating is higher than what you'll actually get).

Modern TN panels feature dithering that allows them to simulate the 8-bit color palette, although it's still can't reproduce every color available. For most non-professional uses though, it's more than enough.
