This is a more technical question, probably for somebody like dark byte or emporer, or anyone else who could have some knowledge about a program that can do this:

-is there a program/application that can force another program (specifically a game) to be run in a window? For example, the game runs full screen, (and like some games that have the option to not run full screen, which means theres a window they play in and the desktop is visable) but can the game be forced to run in a window? This way the desktop could be accessed?

I hope that made sense, let me know if you need more details.

I know how to force a game to windowed mode. But it wont change things like taskswitch detection. (So if you click on anything on the desktop it'll detect it)

You can use Xunleashed for that, however that is pay software. They claim it should support all directX games but ask on their board first if you are unsure ( http://www.xunleashed.com/ i just realized they have a new website, updated it in my tutorial as well)
What do you need window mode for anways? Do you only need it to use Cheat Engine because the game cannot be minimized? If that is the case you can take a look at:

to minimise a game i usually find alt+enter works pretty well in making it a windowed game

Ok, thanks for the links everyone. I found a working "minizer" for the game MU- I've seen the posts about getting past gamegaurd in here, so I'm hoping we could do some work with MU Online. The MU game does not let you alt+tab out (to prevent hacking) and also crashed if you use the windows key. The minimizer/window gets past this so that you can open CE for example.

I've tried the basics of searching for the amount of "zen" I had and changing the values, but nothing happened. I'm hoping we could work on MU Online, especially since we have a way to run CE (of course you probably always had a way to bypass all this, but anyways).

Seems I'm kinda rambling on here, I'll get to the point. I have a working cheat/hack for MU Online that allows you to do attack VERY fast, therefore allowing you to kill high lvl monsters easily, but it does have a few bugs, but it works. If anyone wants to help cheat in MU by using CE, I'd be glad to hear from you.

I have yet to see an online game in which you can change your money with a memory editor...normally items and money on a normal online game should look like that: The item/money gets dropped by an enemy. The server shows the item to the player and server is aware of the fact that the item is there, when the player picks up the item then he does NOT send what item he picked up, or how many money he picked up, he sends that he picked up THAT item from the ground, therefore the item that was dropped by the monster will be the item the server adds to your items. If you can edit this, then only temporarly on your client considering the server should always be aware of the fact which items you really have,and which items were dropped. On a solid online game nowadays money and item mods can only be done using real exploits, not simple cheats.

ok, so the cheating isn't really possible (there have been dupes, but those are completely different methods).

I have played around with packet editors to create a "shadow" of the real item, yet as you said, the server knows what I really have (which in reality is nothing, so I can't sell the fake item, etc). I can take an existing item and change it to something else, but once again the server knows...
in other words, it's client sided
well ok, guess ill just be waiting for more dupe hacks to arise
