|

I'm trying to find the XYZ coords for a game I'm playing right now, but everytime I close the game and load the game again the memory address that saves the z value seems to change. (So far I only found the Z value, because it's easier just to go up than it is to figure out if your walking more toward the x axis or the y axis..) When I open the game again I can find the same "Z" value at a different memory address. I can change this z value and hover or fly what have you,but the memory address changes everytime I close the game and open it again...
Anyone else experiance a problem like this? Anyone know how I can make a teleport program if the memory address always changes?
Also what's the difference between the black and the green values? I never seemed to figure that out...

you need to find the pointer.
the CE tutorial goes over this.

Black = dynamic, will change location when the game restarts or while playing.
Green = Static, stays the same.
Also most of the time XY is store real close to Z coor.
Once you have Z coor, look 4-8 bytes before it.
Do what slovach suggested.
What game is this? someone might beable to help you more.

You have the dynamic addresses, but you should be able to find a static pointer if you search for what reads from the address, or what accesses it.
As for the x/y pointers, they're usually 4 above and 4 below the z address(the opcodes) the pointer base should all be the same.

Thanks for your reply.
I found pointers... Tons of pointers...
How can I narrow down pointers to find the one that I need. Do I really need to go through each of the 300+ pointers to find one to find another pointer, search through 300+ more pointers to find another pointer, until I find a green one?

| find what accesses your address -> do something -> check the instructions that came up -> double click one, search that address -> repeat

Sound like a slow and painful process.... but honestly I think it's more fun to cheat then it is to actually play the game... :}
