Cheat Engine

(I guess this is the best suited section to post this)

Going through some of my old CDs, I came across the game SonicR. As I enjoyed playing this game in the past, I thought it would be nice to install it. After I installed it, I discovered that the game would not start, as a result of a signed division placed at offset 004801D9. This error seem to occur to a lot of people.

If any of you ever had problems running the game on a new machine, and you want to play it for whatever reason, here is a fixed version of the executable.

Note that this version still requires a CD in order to play.

I used the patched exe, and when I open it I get to the screen where you select DirectDraw or DirectX. I cannot select one though. In the background there is an error message as follows:

Hello DoomsDay,

I'm using the fix that you've made for Sonic R and I was thinking if maybe you could patch the network executable too (sr_net.exe (I cannot post links, sorry)) as it suffers from the same problem.

I've been searching the web for a patch, but there's none out there. No one bothered to make one for the network executable. It'd be great if you could kindly look into it! Smile
