Why bother buy a couple of the parts now and hold onto them for months until you can get the rest? Just get the cash and save it for when you can do something with it.
Also, see my last post.

I highly suggest that you do not upgrade this rig for it would be a waste of money.

This.

tbh, you should just save up and get a new system. There's only so much you can do to an old computer.

For example, your motherboard supports a maximum of 2GB RAM.

And it's not compatible with dual core or quad core. If you're going to get a powerful graphics card, you might need to up the power source on your computer and whatnot, and purchase additional fans and coolers. That shit is going to cost you a fortune, which should be enough to buy you an average to above average computer by today's standards.
That is why I was thinking about getting Mobo + RAM for my birthday, then waiting until Christmas to get GPU/CPU. I mean, my better mobo + RAM won't do me any good now, but at least it will still work in my computer until I can get the better parts.

But so far, Superweapons' suggestions seem to all work out.

Just build a new computer from scratch.

Getting a new motherboard and more RAM, new graphics card, more harddrive space and everything, but you're going to stick with the 2.4 gHz Intel Celeron?
The CPU is in a combo deal with the motherboard. It is an AMD Athlon II X2.

Oh, I was under the impression that you wanted and Intel CPU.

So basically, if you're 'upgrading' all that stuff, you're just building a new computer. You're changing everything inside anyways.

The whole "I don't want an AMD" thing was a joke. I really don't know enough about the two to have an opinion between them. But yeah I suppose.

@Karakawe: I think I might just do that, if I can. If not, then I'll just go with Superweapon's rig.

+1 to Karakawe. You should manage to scrape up some more money when Christmas flies by.

I normally would have went with Intel, but $220 is really too little (considering that Intel mobos are usually more expensive).
