If you have bad ass bandwidth then do ftp .
If not then upload to one of the major sites. RS,MF,FD,MU or maby even box.net

I dont think you can get everything for free.
RS=rapidshare
MF=mediafire
FD=fileden
MU=megaupload

Why the hell would it make a difference? One person still has to upload the files, but with a file uploading services you have to wait until each is finished. You can do it over FTP if you want to set up a quick server and port forward. Maybe IRC?

Considering how long that would take without a ridiculously fast connection I'd suggest you burn the files to a DVD and mail them to each other.
In all seriousness, either use FTP or BitTorrent to transfer the files.

Agreed, try bittorrent to transfer for the files.
P2P most likely will be the best option unless you have a bad upload/he has a bad upload speed.

That or:
Download apache,
Install it
Start it up
Move all the file into the httpd (or what ever they call it)
It only takes as long as to copy the file!

Why can't you just give him the site instead of transfer?
