| should i get it? cause im going to reinstall my OS anyways. something is wrong with it, not sure what. so i want to put it like new. so should i reinstall vista or go with w7 64 bit?

Windows 7 is better than Vista. Uses less ram, faster etc.
As far as I can see, Windows 7 is better in every way.

You can't get the RC iso from Microsoft anymore, but you'll be able to find it someplace. You can still get keys, though.

That's right.
I believe I still have copies of both 32 and 64-bit Win7 RC, and I can ISO them for you if you can't find a good source.
Note that the RC will start shutting down March 2010, and stop working in June[?]. I would only assume there are cracks or workarounds to that.

Build 7264 (just before RTM I believe) was leaked a few weeks ago. If the OP's going to be pirating a windows 7 anyway he might as well download the latest release.

be great if you could do that for me. all i can find is crap crap and shit.
i found RTM though. is that better or worse?

True, but it would be legit while it was working normally (up to March). I was only thinking about the shutdowns and limitations.

RTM = release to manufacturing[/marketing].
You'd have to crack it.

Another option would be to buy windows vista which now comes with a free upgrade cd. So when windows 7 officially releases you can whack that in your computer. Two operating system for $120AUD is a bargain.

No it wouldn't come with your laptop. If you buy the retail version of Windows Vista you will indeed get a free windows 7 upgrade.
