I'm using 2 sticks of 2GB each 800hz and 2 sticks of 500MB each which are 667hz.

Am I better off with or without the 667hz ones?

When your install two rams at different speed, the lowest clock ram will be the speed your motherboard decides to operate at.

it's only 1GB, but check your bios. See if you've actually configured your bios to make use of the speed and that you're not currently running it at 667MHz
If you are running the defaults, then the 2 512MB's most likely won't cause a problem

The 2x2GB sticks should be plenty for most peoples' needs. But mixing and matching them with the 2x512MB sticks should not be too problematic; you may have to end up editing the BIOS to get them to work. Even then, occasionally, you might encounter a RAM failure from time to time just by using them.

Your 2GB DIMMs will operate at a lower than stock frequency. Unless you really need that extra GB (and you most likely won't), I'd get rid of the 2 512MB DIMMs.

They otherwise probably won't conflict.

I don't see you using all 5GB under any circumstances, nor do I see you ever saturating a 667MHz bus, so it really doesn't matter either way. I personally would just use the 2x2GB sticks.

Are you using a 64-bit OS? If you aren't, you won't be able to utilize all the RAM from the 2x2GB sticks, let alone the other ones.
