I know this may not be relative but

I am wondering how to go upon recording my VHS Tape to my Camcorder so I can put that on a dvd disc

I have a VHS/DVD player combo
also have a canon camcorder, i hooked up those 3 yellow white red cables to the front of the vhs player but I do not see video on my camcorder

Does anyone what I am doing wrong ?

I tried the TV but those are different inputs

Usually the ports on the front of the player are for input.

You'll need to hookup your vhs player's output to the camcorder's input, you might have it backwards. Check on the back of the VHS player, and can you give a model number on your camcorder?

Yes i used the front ports but it still doesnt show anything on my camera screen

I have a Canon Digital Video Camcorder ZR800 NTSC

The VCR should have input and output ports. Usually the back has a set of both (labeled) and the front has a set of input ports for ease of use. Check the back for a set of output and connect the camcorder there. Take closeup pictures of the back of the VCR if you don't know what you're supposed to be looking for.

So I will need a module?
and yes the important thing I need to do is take my VHS tapes and record them on the camera so then I can put them on a dvd from my computer

If I would have to buy a module, I dont think I would do that as I just need this for a one time use

This is the front of the VCR/DVD combo with those ports available

This is the Back of the VCR/DVD Combo, those cables (white,yellow and red) are going to the back of the TV

This is the front of the TV with the last port I have, since the ones at the back are used by the Satellite reciever and DVD/VCR Combo

Still if you want a simple solution simply play the vhs and record it to dvd.

The front three ports there are input (I think I see "Video in" above the yellow one?). On the back where it's hooked to the TV is where you'll need to connect to your video camera and record it to DVD that way, and if you still want to see it on your TV, you'll have to hook the video camera to the TV

Ok.

All you want to do for now is to connect the the vcr to the cam am I rite?

Do you have the right settings in your cam to show video becuase If you dont have differnt jacks for input/output in your cam then you have to select it someone in a menu.

Also make sure that you dont have one of those cams which only support to output video.

Sf is right. You would like the vcr to output therefor you need to connect the cables to the output. As on the picture Wink

I just tried that but again I am not getting display on my camera, thus I cannot record

I think it only supports output,

Just checked online and other are able to do it. Maybe your settings are wrong or something, check your manual to see what you may have missed.
