I've been trying for a week now to get a theme that is 100% dark to work. I've installed numerous dark themes with Windows Blinds and when that failed, I used the C:/windows/resources/themes way (which fails too).
All the previews show that white space in the folder dark but when I apply any theme, it always remains white there.
Anyone know what in the hell would cause this?

If you're not using the trial of WindowBlinds and you have the latest version, then there should be an option to change that color to whatever you like somewhere.
Just dig around.

Ah I know what the problem is now, a while back I used a theme that replaced some .dll files called "browseui.dll" and "shell32.dll".
Now the problem is I don't know how to replace them with originals...... vista is a pain

What version of Vista? You can most likely find the originals online.

Yeah I can find them, but I don't know how to replace them.
First it says I don't have permission, so I "took ownership". Now it says that they are being used by another program, so I go into safe mode. Then it says an unknown error has occurred....
