Not really my taste, but it works fine for ordinary schoolwork. Keep in mind though that it comes with a 64-bit Vista, so it might just screw up some programs.

You might also want to increase the RAM so that it doesn't lags, but around 6GB is sufficient.

Yeah, just get that one.
I try searching around there and can't really find a good laptop they sell.

Looks good for the price in a laptop.

If you're only looking for something portable for schoolwork/web browsing and such, you could consider an Asus EEE pc or something. It's small and not very powerful, but is cheap and very portable.

Its not priceworthy, first of all when your choosing a laptop
don't take AMD, their slow and hot. The new amd CPU's r good but the
old ones suck.

Try finding one from newegg.com instead.

Perhaps he doesn't feel like going online? There can be a million reasons. + The fact that newegg.ca which he can only order from will most likely be more expensive than newegg.com

So anyways that seems like a decent laptop for the price. I own an HP Laptop and imo they're pretty good.
For ordinary school work/web browsing and other media such as watching movies, it should be more than enough.

If there are, can you give me the site for it please?
