So i just bought some new headphones for my xbox so i dont wake my neighbour up (Steelseries siberia neckband headset, to be precise) and they're amazing. One problem though, i cant hear xbox live chat. My mic is fine, i can hear EVERYTHING else, just not xbox live talk. I dont know why and dont know where to ask about it, can anyone give me some help?

(Sorry if this is the wrong section, dont know where else i could post this)

Edit:it doesnt have a volume button, has a volume for the speakers but not the mic. The mic is attached to the headphones and there's no switch (not that i know of) on them. But if i take the headphones out my xbox controller, i cant use the mic, but CAN hear people.

also my headphones are in the tv so i dont wake up the neighbour (as i said) so i dont need to plug them in my xbox controller to make them work, but to use the mic i gotta plug them in the controller.

The voice for Xbox Live is either:

1) Going through your TV
2) Going through your headset
3) Going through both

As you stated that your Steelseries headset is hooked up to your TV, there is a possibility that you have selected that the voice of the person talking is through the Xbox Live headset.

I would've recommended Turtle Beach X3's if you didn't already buy the Steelseries headsets.

Fixed them, thanks for your help.
Had to press the guide button, go to preferences and click voice. Didn't see that option.
