Yeah, but that is really the only way they are like a flash drive. In almost all other ways, it is not a flash drive

| Transferring data like a flash drive is just one of a hard drive's features. Some hard drives come with more, such as software to help back-up your PC.

Yes but be aware, Flash Drives don't need external power as the USB Port can transfer the power.
But external Harddrive usually need external power for a Powerpoint as it needs more electricity to run which USB Port can not be capable to transfer...
There are also external hardrives that simply use USB Port to power it but there speed and HDD space was limited to approximately 250GB MAX...

Will you stop spreading lies? You can have a 1 tb portable hdd. It is true that the data transfer rate is limited tho.

External hdd does not equal flash drives. Flash drives are solid states.
for the above posts. lol. Any hard drive can by turned to an external hard drive. All you need is an enclosure and there you go.

First of all.
Will you stop spreading lies?
Currently the max single storage device is 2TB.
It is very easy to have a 3TB External HDD...
Having 2x1.5TB in raid 0 will give you a 3TB HDD...
E.G http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Data-Storage-and-Recordable-Media/Hard-Drives/Portable-Hard-Drives/WDH2Q2TB.
This is 2x1TB I believe...
You can easily have 2x1.5Tb to give you 3TB...
