Hi, my AVG is whining about WPE ofc.
I just wonder, because i can find no way to ignore it before the executable gets corrupt.

Well you could change your AVG to avast home edition and it won't complain or you can turn off AVG while you install it or download it .. that might work.

i dont think its corrupted cuz of AVG, try another download link and download it/instal it to a folder thats excluded in you Resident Shield settings.

Hey Gothikaboy,
The same problem was occuring for me today when I downloaded WPEPro. Even though I had AVG turned off before extracting WPEPro, I noticed that I could not run the executable. Immediately after, my first thought was that this was the work of AVG and yes it was.

So the solution I used...
Extract the files into a folder and open up the folder. You should now be spammed with window after window. In these windows select "Add to exceptions" if possible (I'm saying this because not all the windows have this option) otherwise select "Ignore". Now you should get about 5 ~ 10 of these windows, but once you're done with them, you should be able to run WPEPro.

AVG is a pile of shit.
Just because you turn it off, it is still running 2 other process's.
Unistall the crap.

AVG is just one big virus that you paid money for.
If you want to get rid of it, chuck out all AVG files out exept for the executables and dll's then delete those one by one, if it turns out an error, end the associated process.

Wait till the warning shows then you will see the panel with the words "Add to exception".
