| the ram card is probly not any good or is not compatible with your system, always get a ram card from the company you purchased your computer, example: my pc is a dell so i buy ram from dell.

Much more importantly, buy the correct type of memory of a supported speed. Manufacturer doesn't matter, as companies like Dell will have one model for your computer, leading you to believe it's the only one that will work.

it is bad or you havent inserted it properly, make sure you put it all the way in.

| He put his old ram back in, and his computer still won't boot. It turns on, no monitor and no keyboard/mouse.

comps are wierd sometimes, if u move ram around. Static cant really mess up your ram. Tryin reset your bios "maybe" your monitor will come on.

It's not important to buy RAM from the same company as your computer....
You must check what motherboard you have and what it is a capable to handle....

From IT Crowd: "Have you turned it off and on?"
Was there any beeps coming out of the PC? If so, check out your mobos webpage to see what the error is.
If not, then you probably had static and ruined your RAM chips.
