I have Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I think it kind of sucks. Do you think I should reformat to Windows XP? It also frustrates me that many trainers and such do not work.

If you are going to format because you can't use trainers then you fail at life.

Windows Vista is a great OS.

Not just that... It's not compatible with many things. I actually wouldn't mind 32-bit though. It's not that it is Vista.

I've been using Vista 64bit during the beta days and it has not failed me even once. During that time AVG did not work with 64bit, but now it works also. So if a prgram you want to run does not work, is it because of Microsoft's problem? NO!

The problem lies in the laziness from the developers for that software and if it does not work, find an alternative.

If you can't even handle Vista I wonder how you'll handle Win7 or the the next OS after that where it will only be 64bit.

Try the compability method.

Windows 7 will be less 'bulky' than Vista, it is really being depicted as a wonderful OS.

do you want to tell us what isn't compatible? i always hear lots of people using the line "It's not compatible with many things.", but they never say what. for your stupid trainers, there's virtual PCs and dual booting...or you could go outside and get some fresh air.

I got it, like it a bit more then vista due to the fact that windows 7 doesnt just freeze up on me when I have a problem and instead gives me a small report that I can look up Smile

Bad driver support, a number of programs only have XP/Vista 32-bit version and a Vista 64-bit version, often Microsoft software. No SP3 yet, I don't think. Might have trouble finding drivers for older hardware like scanners, printers.
Of course I wasn't saying it's unusable, but there are a few things against using it in my mind.
