Hi ppl.
Im wondering how to 'hack' Super Mario Bros. ( for NES ) like in this video :

I wanna hack unlimted Star-Power.
I ve tried already some things like Changed Value etc... but that did not work. I tried also in 2 Bytes but no success Sad
Maybe some of you have any idea...
PS. : I use an emulator to play the game on the PC...

Most NES emulators have the built in tools to find simple codes like that. I don't think Nestopia had them, but I remember FCEUltra and the english version of VirtuaNES had all the tools with it to hack NES games. If you're using cheat engine on it, you're making things harder than they need to be.

You'd find it with CE the same you would with the emulator I'd assume. Get a star, pause game, search for unknown initial value. Unpause and then pause the game instantly and search for a decreased value. Just keep doing that because the time only goes down. You might also need to use a save state and constantly search for changes by looking for changes between having a star and not having a star because there's probably one bit you need to turn on to have the star.
