| My Windows XP computer won't start up. Running in safe mode, normally, and with the last known good settings won't work but just restart. How do I boot my computer without reinstalling windows? D:

| uhm when that happened to me i just did a system restore..when you turn your computer on right away press f12 or f11 forgot wich one it is..then it'll take you to a restore option so just follow the instructions..it should take a bout 30 min you might have to update you computer again and install some prgramms back because it resets your computer to the point when you first got it

can you rephrase? when you say safe mode doesn't work, do you mean it looks like it's frozen with directories coming up, or it freezes booting into safe mode?

i see. i guess there's a few ways to fix it, did you install anything before-hand that would've caused this?

| I don't think so. I'm assuming I might have gotten a virus from downloading stuff? Like movies. ._.'

| He's referring to computers that have a recovery partition to restore from instead of completely reinstalling the OS. Could it be corruption over on that end?
