Most of the times people do not take into account how fucking terrible it is to be in jail!

Life in prison without parole is MUCH MUCH worse than getting the death penalty...

Especially nowadays, were when they kill you... It is peaceful and drug related.

So if you want to REALLY punish someone, instead of the death penalty give them life without parole.

I believe it's ethical. If someone murders a family then they should have to pay, and the closest thing to taking a life is taking another life. But I guess making them sit in jail for 70 years would also be a good punishment.

It really depends on the crime.
I think in most cases it is ethical, especially in the case of repeated murders. It is fair (in my opinion) that a person who takes lives should have his/her life taken. (Hammurabi's code lol.)

Life in prison IS the death penalty... Your entire life is stripped away from you... Your rights are lost... You get anal raped... forever!

He means getting put in the hotseat/lethal injection.

Life in jail is a different story; it's possible to escape, or even get out early.

That is why i stated "without parole" a few posts up.

and most of the time they are in max security... So escaping is not probable.

Also, i was saying how life in prison without parole is more ethical, and it hurts the murder MORE.

Obviously none of you have paid taxes Razz We pay taxes to both the state and federal government... Though i am sure our state taxes go to keep jails open.

I believe it is justified in extreme cases, due to the fact that our prisons are already crowded, why should I pay for the housing and care of some murderer? If you take someone else's life, you should expect the same in return, an eye for an eye.

an eye for an eye makes everyone blind.
accidental deaths and self-defense cases are different.
