My cousin accidently overclocked his ram to 600Mhz and it exploded would warranty cover that? it was a 256MB stick SDRAM btw...

| Any overclocking, whether on purpose or by accident will (as far as I know with most companies) void your warranty.

Depends on the manufacturer. A percentage allow for practicing unsafe overclocking (if it's the case, usually only if the hardware isn't physically destroyed), while most do not.
EVGA and XFX warranties are not void by overclocking or heatsink/fan assembly removal, but they don't assemble RAM DIMMs. Go check the manufacturer's warranty terms.

unless they were designed, advertised and sold as "memory for overclocking enthusiasts" and under a special warranty covering "damage caused by overclocking". OCZ and some Dell laptops come with those - but what are the chances...

Btw, there is normally no warranty on RAM. Atleast that goes for a very lot of stores.

I have this feeling that there is a positive correlation between your supply voltage and the ram's megahurts.

| How does RAM "blow up"? I've seen people run 2.4v for their DDR3 RAM in a X38 mobo.
