Pretty much so.
A keygen usually GENERATES a serial key for a program.
I do not know how they get their hands on the algorithms
required to generate the keys.. Always wondered.. |
They look at how the program validates the key and reverse the algorithm. |
Ah.. of course.. Reverse engineering.. |
Or when thats to hard, they compare "some" keys, from lists captured by any "hacking" programs (wc3 e.g: Maphack, LC,...)
like getting the key for a encryption..
Also list would be few MB big (for Wc3 and other big games probably more) |

Negative. You can't just get an algorithm from a few keys. Keygens don't use lists, they calculate the key. It's made up on the spot.
