| right now im having touble burning dvds to watch, i have downloaded a .avi file and now when i open windows dvd maker and try to add this file it says the file is not valid or corrupted, i dont know what to do because it should work or do i need it in another file,im really frustrated and it would be appreciated if i could get some help thanks

i would re-download the avi or get a different burning program oh and i would post in the computer section

sorry thought it was somewhere else idk where but stfu cuz i was tired anyway the problem might be that your cd drive can't burn to dvds

I'm going to go ahead and assume that OP has a DVD burner since s/he's trying to make DVDs. 
@OP
Sounds like you're experiencing a lack of a codec. Try downloading and installing the ffdshow codec (also can be found in the K-Lite Codec Packs and CCCP, I believe).
