First of all, I know how to find a pointer and I know what it is. The thing is that this time I cant find a pointer. Game is The Settlers: Rise of an Empire and I'm trying to edit storehouse max capacity. Problem is I cant find a static address and none those on the list work the second time I use them, in a new game. Here's a pic.
I did use search and read more about pointers, but I don't really understand much about hexadecimal stuff or base pointers.

The address you have in your list isn't a pointer. Try adding the pointer address correctly. Not sure why you add the offset to the recommended pointer address and added that as your address. Have you EVER found a pointer? Try searching for your hex offset then add adress manually, click pointer, enter the address from the above address list in the address space, and the offset from the more info box into the offset space. Pointers can be a major pain to find manually, but get used to it, because the pointer scanner will not work for all games.

Ofcourse the address in the list isnt a pointer. It's value I found by searching, now I'm trying to find a pointer for it. Yes, I have found pointers and made few private trainers. I'm not a complete noob.
I've thinking, what does "me" talk in this topic?

The third message.
Okay, this guy has the EXACT same problem as me.

The thing is, I cant really understand what people talk about in there, especially Dark Byte. I'm not that advanced CE user.

| In the newest version of CE there is no "Find out what writes to this address", needed for multilevel pointers.

Well your address int he list is actually the recoomended pointer address value witht he offset added to it, or didnt you notice that, hence my thinking you did what I said. Try noticing things once in a while.
Find what what accesses.

When you use 'Find out what accesses this adress" you'll see both read and write.
Basicly you do a pointerscan on a pointer.
(When trying to do a scan it'll prompt if you want to scan it on the pointer, or on the pointed adress, choose the pointer)
kjmarket: He added that address as a memory aid I believe, that wasn't meant as a pointer.
