Yes he is. If I remember correctly he won every title in the NBA.

Also if you are going to say Kobe Bryant is the best, I'm not saying you are, then you would be wrong. Lets compare them. Micheal Jordan lead his team to 6 straight titles. He also won every title. Now time for Kobe... He own MVP once, I think Micheal won it 3 times. He won the NBA Slam Dunk contest in 1997 or 1993, Micheal also won it. He made had an 81 point game, that is all he has over Jordan.
