I've got this problem here that I can't find a solution to and need help with :/
The forum icons won't load. I've cleared my cache, history and cookies but to no avail. They won't load on IE, google chrome or firefox. Also, I can't see the smileys either. Whenever someone uses the " " smiley, I see the two words "Very Happy" instead. I see "Smile" instead of " ", etc.
So these are examples of what I see, instead of the usual images.
It's annoying. D: I'll +rep anyone who provides a working solution to this.

So then even after they're finished loading, it still looks like that?
Something might be blocking the images or something. I'm not sure, though.
Try reinstalling Firefox, maybe you did something to it without realizing.

| In Firefox, click tools, options, then in the new window click the tab content, what does the third option say and is it checked or not?

It says "Enable Javascript", and that's checked.
(The second option says "Load Images Automatically" and that's checked too)

Check the Exceptions for Load Images Automatically, and see if this site is listed in it. This happened to me before on a different website.
Do you run ABP or any Firewalls?
If so,
Check and see what your Firewall is blocking.
Check and see if ABP is blocking images from CE

They don't 'screw up' your internet connection, if you use them correctly.
However, not having one will make your computer vulnerable.

I lol'd. How would he 'lag' on CEF, and not on any other site?
I'm thinking this has something to do with your software settings.
It seems it is not browser-specific... I would think of a firewall but you don't have one..

| This happened to me 3 times on different computers, and I ended up reformatting...although, it's only CEF? Do any other sites do this?

That's what happens to be when I lag. But it loads in like 3 seconds.
Do you have the latest plug-ins installed?
