Exe files often cant be compressed very much.
Best one is Winrar

FSG is ok. If you want protection than packing use Themida.
(FSG is awsome... it reduces size up to 95% O.O)
after fsg, you cannot use winrar as it will increse the size instead of reducing it XD.

This is retardism.
I packed with winrar and now its 0.05% (1/2000 of size) of original size...(reduced by 99,95%)

It hardly depends on what file it is, my file only contains "000000" but a few more.

| YEs but if you pack it that way you still have to extract it. FSG is an exe packer. You can just double click it.

| Hes looking for a exe packer not a compressor. It has to be self extracting and running. Win Rar requires extracting, selecting path and all that. I don't think thats what he wants.

lol... do u see any popular commerical game released and packed with winrar? besides the reason for packing a game is mostly for preventing game reverse engineering like debuging.

UPX is great, open source, pretty much the standard for straight ahead packing (not protecting).
Epic Cat: EXEs have extremely low entropy and can ALWAYS be packed a huge amount. WinRar/WinZip SFXs are not what the poster is looking for.

What the fuck? Why would I pack my client with winRAR... All I can think of at the moment is either Themida or a modified UPX..
