You could have a patched uxtheme.dll

Could be using windowsblinds.

You could have modified explorer.exe...

Either way it was a 3rd party program that alters xp's look.

Vista= fast
Thats the only difference i notice.
Also, if you think Vista sucks, it's most likely because your comp is a piece of crap
