This is the parts I am going to buy for the new rig, and I want you guys to rate it, and to tell me if I made a wrong choice. If there is a part you're not personally satisfied with, you can link to the part you like better. Or maybe even save me some money, by finding something that is equal to the exact hardware, but cheaper.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz.
GPU: Powercolor Radeon HD4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI-E 2.0x16, XFIRE ready.
RAM: Corsair 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz (PC2 6400) Dual Channel.
PSU: PC Power & Cooling 750W EPS12V SLI NVIDIA SLI Certified (Dual 8800 GTX and below) CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply.
Mobo: ASUS P5Q Pro LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard.
CPU cooler: Thermaltake CL-P0369 120mm CPU Cooler (to check if it fits: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835106103 )
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive.

I have Vista Ultimate x64 ready, and a DVD-ROM drive.
I think i missed something.

Also; wouldnt it be better to buy 3 320GB's and put them in RAID0?

Looks good, and the CPU cooler will fit (any socket 775), but I would get something different. Maybe a Tuniq Tower would be good for you. They give great temps.

Get an Antec 300. It's only $50.

You could get 3x320GB HDDs in RAID0, but that would hurt your upgrade ability. Let's say you wanted to get 2TB of storage, your new 1TB would be non-RAID. If you buy a 1TB HDD, in a month or two, you could buy two more 1TBs and have 3TB of storage in RAID. Also, if you get 1TB, stay away from Seagate 7200.11s. There are massive failures.

Holy shit, lol. Razz
I want a sweet looking case, but not too expensive. Smile

Rapion, can you suggest me some other 1TB HDD, that is the same priceclass, or even cheaper?

That's the HDD, specs and price.

Seagate hard drives have yet to fail me. Here's a nice deal on a 1.5TB drive

Try to get a 45nm Yorkfield, maybe the Q9300.
You might want to check out the GTX 260 Core 216, which is a good ~$50 more. It usually outperforms the HD 4870 1GB by a good bit (especially in games that are designed for NVIDIA chips).
Just get a good ~500W PSU with 28-32A on the 12v rail, if you're not considering to upgrade to CrossFire later.
The MaxOrb isn't that great anymore, although it's still a good step up from stock cooling. Look at the Big Typhoon, Tuniq Tower, Ultra-120 Extreme, and Scythe coolers; they all offer better performance at a similar price point.

Also, the Antec 300 is nice.

So can you put together a rig of your recommendations, at a price that isn't alot higher than the one i got?
That would be very nice. Smile

The Q9300 and GTX would make your build a bit more expensive, but the lesser-wattage PSU would be cheaper.
If you want to go with those two, just save up a little bit. It'd be worth it..

The PSU could be swapped for this one, (I hear Corsair PSUs are great) for $10 less before rebates.

The CPU cooler could be swapped too. For the price it's hard to beat the Xiggy HDT-S1283. The retention bracket for an extra $8.50 helps a good deal too.

Don't buy 3 320GB HDDs and run them in raid 0. This would cost, at a minimum, $45 more than a 1TB HDD while loosing 40GBs over a 1TB HDD and increase the chance of total data loss three-fold.

EDIT: I'd also get an Antec 300. It doesn't look very flashy but it's very well built and is cheap (~$50).

This will provide way more than enough juice to run your system, at a good ~$50 less.

Actually, after reviewing prices, it might be more advantageous to stick with Q6600. This is the GTX 260 Core 216 I was referring to. It's not really that much more expensive than competing HD 4870s, but offers better performance.

They did not have the Xiggy, but i found this. Sorry, the page is in Danish, but I think that you guys will be able to find the specs of it. Smile

Those of you with 7200.11s better watch out. This is the problem. I'm feeling uneasy because I have 4 7200.11 1TB HDDs in RAID0 o_O.

I had bought the 1TB Seagate Barracuda for a computer, and it was DoA. RMA'd it for a WD when I found out lot of people were having difficulty with them.

In that case, go with this for a CPU cooler. The pricing is a lot cheaper than the one you listed and, according to this benchmark, is tied for the 2nd best CPU cooler on the market. Also, don't forget thermal paste. Stock thermal paste is usually total shit.
