I want to be able to run Mac on it whenever I want.
Is there any way to do this?

2 ways:
A virtual machine:
Advantage:
-faster switching mac <-> windows
-every retard is able to do it
Disadavantage:
-doesnt support GPU
-needs much mor CPU and RAM
Dual boot system:
Advantage:
-Realy fast (faster then windows)
Disadvantage:
-Restart to switch OS
-Needs a lil bit knowledge
Anyways Mac aint cheap.
Hardware is most likely not compatible.
buy a Mac and install windows on "Boot camp", easy, fast but expensive. _________________

Google "Dual booting hackintosh"
Also, moved to computer talk section. _________________

| I honestly wouldn't even bother (even ignoring the fact that OS X is inferior). The only way to get mac running on a non-mac spec'd PC is to use Hackintosh, or OSX86. Often, hardware isn't supported (quite often), and Hackintosh (from what I've seen) is somewhat computer-dependent. |

I don't see why everyone bash's on Macs? Honestly they do pretty much the same as Windows except they're bad at games. _________________

Macs are overpriced for their hardware, and do not support many newer components (ie. graphics cards). The only upside to this being that all drivers are written by Apple, but I'd only get a Mac if I was into professional video editing (like for full-fledged films).
That's really all I'm going to post since I don't have the time, there's a Mac-bashing thread somewhere around here with lots of great bashing information. |

The idea is not so much bad, but less good. Not to start anything, of course, since the thread is really about whether or not to install it on a Windows-based PC, and not a comparative on the two operating systems. Unless you know that all your hardware components will be supported with Hackintosh, what's the point of installing OSX86? Is there a good reason to use it, OP? |

There are whole blogs in pursuit of a viable alternative. (lol)
I personally am not a huge fan of garageband, but I know a lot of people that like it. For my recording and music endeavors, I stick with Acid (the program).
Also, it's often an audio card that isn't supported by OSX86. The problem wouldn't be with your boards, interfaces, or controllers since pretty much all manufacturers have drivers for Mac. |

The thing I like about garageband is the effects you can put on your instrument. Mixcraft 4 doesn't have that, does acid have that? _________________

just to note, OSX86 didn't work on my laptop (because of a common known problem with the chipset, which would for some reason work with an external DVD drive) but it worked perfectly installing on another computer, which now dual boots OSX and Windows XP. i only use it for fun though. xD _________________
