Is there a possible way to make all of one specific color transparent?
What I basically want to do is say... remove all the white in a picture.

Select -> Color Range -> Click on a white part -> OK -> ctrl+x

If there's a better way, someone tell us because I'm noob at PS.

use the magic wand on a white bit, then go to Select > Similar, hit delete, save as gif.
