| I have a virus and it overtook everything, it keeps re-downloading itself ive tried everything to get rid of it but it never goes away. Is there a way I completely clear my computer to get rid of it? |

What type of virus it is? Google it and see how it re-downloads itself and how to delete it. _________________

For anyone with virus problems, I suggest that you invest about $100.00 in a good antivirus, Kaspersky. _________________

| What do I need to do to run them in safety mode; or will it ask for permission for it to run in safe mode when it scans the virus? |

| I use McAfee now, really good one. Also always do a virus scan in safe mode. |

What's your vendetta against Kaspersky? I've really only heard complaints against its required install time. Care to explain..? |

got into window/temp folder... if there is EXPLROER or IEXPLORE in there, go into safe mode and delete
then tell me... NO antivirus can kill it, not even behavioral AV _________________

I use Kaspersky and it's actually quite satisfactory. I mean, I haven't had a virus attack since I installed it.
I don't know why people complained about it's installing time, it just took around 2 minutes for me. |

Well, not only the base install: the first update you have to download? That takes quite a while and the servers aren't exceptionally fast. To get your AV/IS up to date completely, it is required no less than two restarts. This was recently outlined in an article of Maximum PC reviewing different antivirus programs (although I don't think the reviews were very accurate...) |
