Open CE - Memory View - Tools - Pointer Scan - Pointer scanner -> fill in address, OK.
Come back 1 hour later

How-To make your own pointers (once you get good at this one, total time to make your own pointer is about 5-10 minutes max):

Finding an actual pointer path, using the disassembler: (once you get good at this one, total time to find a pointer is usually around 2-15 minutes, human style).

Auto Assemble scripts are pretty cool too, especially since you can implement them into a trainer, using CE 5.2
The title of the first link up there, is something like "Remember: There's always more then 1 way to skin a cat". Quite seriously, there are almost countless ways/methods to finding or creating pointers. There is no best way, or easiest way, for every situation Sometimes, pointer paths could be up to 8+ in depth. So maybe making your own pointer is the best option. Or maybe, the games protection wouldn't allow you to do such things, so you'd have to actually find the pointer path the game uses, etc.
