i haz a PCI express 2.0 card in a PCI express 1.0 slot.... will it be ok? or will gameplay be choppy? _________________

yes it hsould work good, the card wont work at full speed though it will be like 2 times slower since pci-e 1.0 cant receive data fast but it will work just fine like a normal pci-e 1.0 card _________________

And I doubt you'll come close to saturating a 16x lane with a single card. |

Yes you can, he never said otherwise. He was calling you out on doing stupid shit like claiming a card will run twice as slow on PCI-e 1.0 as opposed to a PCI-e 2.0 slot.
Newsflash: unless you have a 4870x2, the interface will not make a difference in the least. |
