| Can you confirm it's actually installing an older version?

I would personally make sure your chipset drivers are fully up-to-date, and fully uninstall those graphics drivers. Reboot, and run drivercleaner pro (google for it).
Let it remove all old entries and traces of the nvidia display driver. Reboot again, and then re-install the latest official drivers. Reboot a final time when prompted.
It is normal for it to happen on the first one or two reboots after a new display driver.
If it persists, I would maybe look for a tweaked driver on a site such as guru3d.com. Some of them can be installed in a special compatiblity/fix mode to get around certain rare problems.

Awesome man, thanks i will try this and leave feedbacks.
i have a feeling it's something in the registry.
Edit: I tried using DriverCleaner Pro, and i don't know if it did something, but the process keeps coming up.

It might be from Windows update. If you set it to automatic, then windows update will install drivers it have found on their update database. No matter if your driver is newer or not.'
Speaking Windows update, I've read this Vista book (published by Microsoft themselves) and author says
drivers from windows update are further strictly tested to ensure it will work properly on Vista.
Boy what a way to kiss Steve Ballmer's hairy a$$.

| I second the recommendation of updating the chipset drivers.

| Have you checked your device manager to see if it's seeing double? If your using SLI then make sure there is no chip on the board that needs to be flipped... had that problem when I used an Intel dual SLI..

I'm not on SLI Zone, and Windows Update doesn't find a newer driver for my video card.
Edit: I solved it by uninstalling my GForce 8600 Driver, then i uninstalled my standard (on board) VGA chipset drivers, then reinstalled them both.
